Simpson Desert Bike Challenge 2016

Attempting to balance my love for remote outback touring and my passion for endurance sports often leads to a conflict of time.  This year, it's different - I am combining both my passions into a single event!
Welcome to the Simpson Desert Bike Challenge - the 30th edition of the annual mountain bike challenge across the Australian Simpson Desert covering roughly 500km over 10 stages.
This is my overland and mountain bike adventure for 2016...

The event will start on the 27th September 2016 in Purni Bore, South Australia and finish five days later in Birdsville, Queensland.
